I found this article super interesting…talks about GM’s new battery tech

https://apple.news/A6rWptrwpQs2JW6WIl3umIw
  • no amount of fast charging degrades it
  • wireless cell status (reduce wires & cost)
  • 100% charge all the time
  • 400V or 800V - removes ‘expensive’ 800V always “on” technology
  • cost is low enough to be cheaper than ICE vehicles so can make money
if it’s all true - it’s a major breakthrough -the kind needed to keep EV’s moving forward

time will tell if this is true or not - but still fascinating IMHO - it’s great to have industry players all pushing forward - it makes all EV’s better.

"IF" is the key word. GM has been on the decline since about 1970.

There are a lot of technologies in the pipeline. Don't know which one(s) win, but the physics are just potentially so much better for EV's than ICE for most transport purposes that ICE will go the way of the Dodo. Unless politicians try to keep the Zombie alive.
