Impressed with the range, hope it will convert naysayers but 100% not my cup of tea. Looks like something an American Alan Partridge would think is cool. Now give me more conversions of US cars made when US cars were cool (as in when the term cool was cool) and I’m in (that F-100 retrofit ford did..that was goood).Looks like very impressive technology, likely to be nice to travel in, and probably also to own. however, it seems unlikely to have ’driver’s car’ very high on its list of priorities, unlike the Taycan!
So, I have no desire to own one!
Agreed. It's super encouraging that we now have real 500 mile cars (I think even the Model S Long Range doesn't get 300 miles at 75 mph), but man is that design so divisive. If that powertrain was in almost any other body and from an established manufacturer, I'd probably abandon the Taycan immediately. My hope is that in ~4 years there's more solid competition at the 500+ mile range, and ideally, I could sell my GTS, buy a 500 mile car, and have some money leftover.Impressed with the range, hope it will convert naysayers but 100% not my cup of tea.
