I think it comes down to what kind of car you want a cruiser or a sports car? IMHO the Taycan is much sportier and will be more fun to drive than the Lucid. The Lucid will likely be more comfortable especially on longer drives. Also the Taycan has the Porsche heritage which to me means a lot...
Yes, I think one of the biggest complaints I have seen with the Model Y is the suspension. The Model S and X have air suspension but Model Y and 3 are coil suspension.
I agree with you on everything except the SUV hype, especially in the US. The utilitarian nature of an SUV is always going to make it popular. It will become even more so if they can make it more efficient.
If you are concerned about speed than I am not sure you would be happy with the RWD. For me it is fine because as @tomtom901 said it is more than enough for daily use. There are others on the forum that really want the speed so they opt for the 4S version and above.
