I also wonder what this means for Taycan 2027/2028.
Porsche has too many changes in direction announced, without clear follow through or impact.
I don’t mind the PCM, I don’t necessarily need major OTA updates if the dealers are reasonable and the update is free. But it would be nice to pick a...
It also could be it isn’t 2022, other car manufacturers have loads of inventory and if the buyer needs to finance 6-8% is a tough pill to swallow on a 6 figure car.
I wonder if some US dealers will have to fold or feel more pain to actually get motivated to sell. I am noticing just this week...
Interesting… I don’t see them trying all that hard to sell the Taycan. I wouldn’t buy at MSRP in this market, but my name is just on some dealer list no eta on allocations.. fine for me I am good with my MY20. There is little to no motivation by the dealer to move.
I find the experience from...

It is early days, but so far the offers don’t wow me.
With CarPlay and android apps extending the phone, I wonder how critical native infotainment is? Vs a common set of APIs that improve the phone integration. My phones map software, and music software will win every time against native apps. And the MY25 doesn’t seem to need pre condition as much...
I wonder how good/stable NCAS will be when Tesla really starts allowing the other vendors? The last 2 times I had any issue at EA there was a ford or ionic trying to use each stall and causing them to crash, restart. The Taycan just worked. EA has to deal with all the variance now and add in...
Not completely related…and I don’t have much experience with Tesla, but it feels like their infotainment experience will lose in long run as they refuse to allow the phone extending apps like android and Apple offer. It seems like an uphill battle to compete against phone mirroring/extension...
I read those as mostly just a base platform, not something which would exclude Apple CarPlay ..so much runs on Android this isn’t a huge shocker vs. rolling their own. I wish there was more competition though.
seems the Apple integration is also still in the works...
