  1. taycan replacement

EQS is a completely different experience. Amazing suspension and comfortable, but nowhere near reactive and fun as Taycan. Didn’t like the RAS on it either. Prob great for professional chauffeurs in a big city though:)
  2. [Perspective] - A happy Taycan owner road trip’s his Daughter’s Model Y…

agree re. the Audi interface, feels very subpar and perhaps only better than what’s on VW’s ID range:)
  3. Why do so many people want a Taycan to be more like Tesla?

I suspect that unless Tesla ups their game on quality and driving experience, it will become a lower margin, mass-produced brand. Nothing wrong with that but the early mover cachet is dwindling quickly. They've already discontinued the RHD versions of Model S and X.
  4. Possible 2025 718 EV styling (rendering)

Looks cool, but wouldn’t except anything else. I wonder what the starting price will be in the UK.
  5. Noobie Taycan Owner ...immediate long Road Trip .... Advice sought....

haven’t tried Lucid and seems like a fantastic car, but you definitely made the right choice over EQS!
  6. completely off topic..... a 900hp 911!

IMHO most "custom kitted" cars regardless of brand and body type end up looking marginally to completely out of place, except for sports cars on the race track perhaps where the utility makes sense (for some, presumably)
  7. interesting contrast…Lucid air inventory "deals"

Had an EQS 450+ for an extended test drive, and it definitely feels (close) to an S-class in the driving experience i.e. fantastically smooth and comfortable though the RAS took a while to get used to. Generally also find the interior in MB a bit plastic. Somewhat disappointed with the...
  8. One week after 6 years in Tesla Model S to Taycan Turbo

Everything with the current Tesla lineup screams mass production and appeal, including the display size and UX. Have only driven the Model 3, but it's pleasant enough and actually fairly responsive and fun to drive. IMO the main difference with Taycan is the feeling of stability, higher quality...
  9. Porsche Mission X Electric Hypercar Concept Revealed!

Time to call the local Porsche dealer then and get on the waitlist!
  10. Does driving a Taycan make one an official EV and/or Porsche brand ambassador?

In UK we have the pleasure of InstaVolt, one of the larger public charging networks, being partnered up with McDonalds.
  11. Glad to be done with Porsche and Taycan

The rudeness and general bad attitude experienced at TWO London dealerships owned by Porsche Retail Group (West London and Mayfair) is simply unacceptable. There are clearly one or two bad apples in management and certainly a bad work culture across the lower ranks.
  12. Norway EVs: Imposing a Weight Tax and Bringing Back the VAT - Article

With all the "windfall" O&G revenue the Norwegian state is generating from current energy prices you'd think reintroducing VAT on EVs would not be a priority. On a related note, it will be interesting to see whether UK will extend the currently low BiK and other tax benefits for EV owners post...
  13. Should I trade in my Taycan 4S for an Aston Martin Vantage? (pics)

Agree - just have a hard time with the build and in particular interior quality of Aston Martin's - nowhere close to as good as Porsche. Also the infotainment seems terribly dated in their cars including the newly released models. But esthetically they are a slam dunk, no doubt.
