Yeah, I read those articles and frankly I don’t buy the collective dealer whine because they're simply perpetuating their preconceived notions through ignorance and sloth.
The bottom line as far as I’m concerned is that the dealers and their sales staff, Porsche dealers included, don’t know...
If it's range you're looking for go with a Lucid. Much better looking than a Tesla, stunning interior, just as fast if not faster and crazy range. Having owned a Tesla Model S in the past, which I happily sold for my Taycan, there's no way I'd buy another one--the company is simply too mercurial.
You've described in almost perfect, parallel detail my experience with my 2015 Model S 85D and exactly why I'm now driving a Taycan 4S. As the Porsche ad says, “Nothing Even Comes Close” to matching the incredible experience I've had with my Taycan. I simply love this car.
My only gripe, is...
Believe me when I say keep the 911 and get the Taycan. I stupidly sold my 1998 993 911S when I bought my Taycan and there isn't a day when I don't regret that decision.
I test drove an EV6 and really liked it. It was more comfortable than the Mustang Mach E, more luxurious than both the ID4 and the Mach E and handled better too. My only concern was the reality of the range. They state 248 Miles, but based on various internet reviews I'm hearing it's much...
I’m hoping that Porsche partners with Apple to improve the software on the PCM. That would be a welcome bit of news. Hell, maybe we’ll even get some real OTA software updates to improve the user experience.
I test drove it and frankly liked both the VW ID4 and Mustang Mach E better. The Polestar carried vast amounts of road noise into the cabin and the software left a lot to be desired. Overpriced IMHO.
Tesla should award anyone who put deposits (how much was it, $50000?) on the Roadster, Tesla stock back dated in value to when they started taking deposits on this vaporware.
