I know it's a completely different kind of car, but did anyone consider the Polestar 2 (or even 1)? I have one coming by for a test drive today just to check it out.
I sold my Panamera 4S after ~2 years. I have a Taycan Turbo now I'm considering selling. I work in the auto space and cars an [expensive] hobby for me. The Panamera 4S felt a tiny bit under powered yes. Taycan Turbo is fast enough but my situation changed and I barely drive now (I don't think I...
I had self close doors on the Panamera and tried to get them on my wife's GLS. What's interesting is that from chats with Porsche & Mercedes, the soft-close doors add ~80-100lbs of weight (seems a lot but both told me the same thing). I'm guessing that's why it was excluded on the Taycan.
They updated it, supposedly - and the new EV one is supposed to be a much bigger update. But aside from that, I don't disagree. The 2012 Karma was pretty revolutionary at the time - and I thought the design language on it was always good.
Just wondering if anyone has considered the GS-6S when shopping for a Taycan. It's a "hybrid" with the full EV version coming out shortly. I can't speak for quality, but it's a pretty attractive car and Karma offers a good amount of customization.

If you build one out, the expected delivery date is March-April - and that info tends to be optimistic. Should hopefully help Porsche a bit with these latest Tesla moves.
LOL! My dealer already warned me to expect it to be later then what the site shows. I've also heard that feedback from many GM's to Porsche NM that it leading customers to think their car will be ready sooner then it actually will be lol
Was just finally updated, thank you for the reminder to check, it does look correct now. Except that it's missing the boat my car is on - departed Emden March 2nd, 2021 - should be arriving at port in Rhode Island in a few days I hope.
Porsche's intention is to service as much of that as possible remotely and outside of the dealership in the future. That's obviously not the case yet, but that's the plan. And unfortuantly it won't align with dealerships (who are all individually owned and operated). I haven't recieved my Taycan...
Exactly, it benefits Porsche NA and Porsche/VW in general. Dealerships make a lot of their money from parts/service and will really need to come up with a new strategy to make up for that business going forward. Not only that, a lot of sales/upsells happen from a service visit - which will now...
From the marketing side, limited by what I can say publically, but generally speaking Porsche is investing a significant % of their overall budget to promote the Taycan & EV's in 2021. There is also a continued push towards the app, app-services, etc.. as dealership visits tend to happen less...
