Came across this article in Car and Driver about the possible look of the 2025 718 EV (starting price $78k).
I like the look of the car and the way they seem to marry the Taycan and 718 in a 2 door Coupe and Convertible. Not a lot of news in the article - does anyone have info on the battery...
Also, if you haven't thought of Home Charging yet, I encourage you to checkout the @daveo4EV thread on a well equipped garage. This should get your started down the right path.
The advice above is excellent.
Regarding #2, be sure to do the following -
On a laptop, login to porsche.com Make sure you've added your vehicle (obvious I know, but...)
Select the new Taycan and scroll down to "Porsche Charging Service and Charging at Home". Click on that.
Register your...
The essence is this piece --
"Scaringe said Rivian would invest in improving and growing ABRP as a stand-alone app for users of other EVs and integrate Iternio's technology into its mobile app and in-vehicle navigation system.
'The data that comes off of having a very active user base allows...
This is fixable. My Taycan rattled in this same place but when my windshield was replaced everything was tightened down and now it is rock solid. Have the dealer tighten it up.
I've had both a 2020 and 2021 4s (first one was totaled by another driver), and I've loved both cars. I don't have issues with squeaks or rattles, find the mileage reasonable (always would like more), and the ANA6 update fixed many of the smaller irritation in the PCM. Don't get me started on...
I don't think the politic leanings Op-Ed writer at the Washington Examiner is the issue here. Everyone has an opinion these days, but I think he raises a question that is worth addressing.
Thanks @TYKHAAAN for the great video. It does a terrific job of communicating the feasibility of both...
A recent thread on the Polestar 2 Recall has raised the question of how competent Porsche is at software development and I'm very curious what the rest of you think about this question.
I've owned a 2020 4s and a 2021 4s. My personal opinion is that the initial Taycan 2020 PCM was not a car...
I beg to differ. Writing an app like ABRP and developing the PCM software are entirely different types of software development and shouldn't be compared.
The key difference is that the PCM software system is as complex as a computer operating system. and it's successful development requires...
Dave - I love your posts and your insights. I also agree that most of the issues with EA and the Taycan will continue into 2021, and possibly longer (sigh...)
But for anyone reading this post let me say that the Taycan 4S is the best car I've ever purchased (leased) because it is by far the...
I'd like to add a few items to the list --
Under NOW
Have the NEMA 14-50 Outlet installed on the "Left Side" of a stud (US) so that the top and bottom bolts of the cord collector can screw right into the stud. I recommend the stud be 10 inches from the nearest object (including the power...
