EPA EV Facts and Myths can be useful. Anyone that wants to minimally impact the environment should walk or ride a bicycle ;) Anything else is a matter of the best choice, or least evil choice if you prefer. If this were an EV evangelist-type forum there would likely be a lot of discussions...
CarPlay worked for me from the time I picked up my car (set it up at the dealer) and continues to work without issue. Had to relog once after an OTA update, but other than that zero issues with CarPlay :)
This really depends on what you are expecting. I should say that if Porsche wasn't making an EV I probably wouldn't have bought an EV, I would have bought a 911.
I've looked at/driven Teslas, and for me personally, they have zero appeal. I'm retired now, but I've worked in the software...
Exactly, I find myself looking for reasons to drive. My wife loves it, especially when I say something like: "Hey, we haven't been to that Sushi place (75 miles away) for a while. Maybe we should drive up there for lunch." We are making a lot more trips like that since I bought the Taycan :)
I agree. Admittedly I've only had my car for 3 weeks and 700 miles but so far the worst thing that has happened is I had to log out and back in to get CarPlay to work after an OTA update. Of course, that isn't something you'd need to worry about with a Tesla ;) I have zero complaints about the...
I actually like the looks of the GV60 much better than any of the Teslas I've looked at. The price is decent and the performance seems reasonable as well. Car and Driver liked it as did Motor1. I really don't see anything to really dislike. I like the interior much better than the Mach-E or the...
I've looked at the Mach Es just for fun. I like the exterior and the interior seems very well made. I'm not real fond of the giant iPad glued to the dash, but at least it does have an instrument cluster behind the wheel. A better comparison would be the Mach E versus the Tesla M3s where I...
https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/07/success/car-and-driver-ev-of-the-year-ford-mustang-mach-e/index.html I found this interesting. I actually don't mind the looks of the Mach-E. I wouldn't get one in lieu of my Taycan, but I like the looks overall, but not so much the interior and there are pretty...
It is hidden at the bottom-middle. To see the above there is an up arrow. I've been there before and thought it was kind of cheezy, especially showing the "Gasoline Savings". The above is with Blue paint, two-tone interior, and self-driving.
Well, from my perspective, who cares. If straight-line acceleration for the cheapest price is someone's goal then they should buy Tesla Performance Models. Of course, that is a fool's game since you can be sure that there will be a new faster version coming soon.
IMHO anything under 4.0 0-60...
Hmm, well, no. I've looked at and ridden in a Model S. Don't like the looks (especially the interior). As for the Tesla Model 3, there isn't anything about the looks (inside or outside) that appeals to me. Being an EV or even straight-line acceleration isn't my primary consideration for a new...
