Was listening to this inEVitable podcast interview with Lucid chassis and vehicle dynamics engineers. Very interesting insights:
OTA updates to tune damping, steering, diffs, etc. for handling.
Redundancy for x-by wire systems and future of steer by wire.
Benchmarking with 911GT3 and some...
Same day announcement, the govs are getting on board with NACS too, starting with Texas.

Good point, if they implement their side cameras as poorly as the Taycan rear cam, that would be hilarious. If they implemented it well… well then I’ll be angry they put so little effort and cost in to ours.
Unfortunately that was by far the most popular sentiment on FB and IG comments too. Like 9/10 comments negative. Didn’t realize there was still that much hatred towards full electric.
The Porsche lineage is more apparent when you look at their other Vision concepts from the past decade. I’m underwhelmed that this EV hypercar still has all the same proportions, cooling and aero as every ICE hypercar out there. The rear mounted side view cameras are kinda cool though, but not...
Would love to see Porsche showcase some new battery technology and not another battery hypercar that weighs 4800lbs like the Rimac *edit:the updated Rimac specs are 5060lbs! Just seems too easy to make ridiculous amounts of power to compensate for the battery mass. Let’s see an 1800hp BEV at the...
I've spent quite a bit of time driving the Taycan in the snow this winter and I have to say the gear whine is actually a pretty cool sound in our cars, although much more subtle than that GT4-e. I drive with PSM off anytime the road is covered so being able to get high motor/wheel speeds at...

3) 16k miles
4) 40% of charges on DC. A handful of times charging from 1-100%. Otherwise mostly kept around 15-70% SoC
5) November 2021 build
If it adds to the conversation, Porsche has also stated that within 2 years their EV will match profit margins of their ICE cars and within 5 years expect them to more profitable than traditional ice due to scale and maturity of manufacturing processes.
I would guess it matters too that the...
I ordered the generic orange TPMS sensors from tpmsdirect.com and they worked great. Set the PCM to learn a second tire set and after a few minutes of driving, the car picked up all corners.
$130 bucks way better than the $500 for OE.
This video from about 5:00 has some really interesting bits of info. Motors are built in Zuffenhausen and are based on the Taycan motors. Directly oil cooled with 30litres of capacity. 600hp race mode 1000hp party mode!
I’m waiting for this for my next car. If the 718EV is slated for 2025...
