There's no hidden torx screw (unlike the 911 if you're tried with that).
The clips are essentially in the same positions as they are on the Macan otherwise:

The front pre-wiring definitely exists in the usual place.
I started hunting for the rear pre-wiring which wasn't in 'the usual' place so it would figure that the connector is hidden somewhere short of the camera location and requires an extended cable.
Frustrating when I've already bought a...
So you wanted to be shown an over-inflated and unachievable range figure? Why?
I'd say the Porsche estimate is broadly realistic at least. Unlike other (I'm looking at you, Elon) brands!
1000 miles into ownership and I'm seeing the same range as you at full charge.
Admittedly my driving style could be described as "not hanging around", but even taking that into account, 400 would be significantly beyond ambitious IMO
I've so far opted to use a Blackvue camera with their rechargeable 12v battery pack. The battery plugs into the standard 12v socket in the boot (battery located in the storage well below the floor), so no interfering with anything that might be used to wriggle out of a warranty claim later...
I attempted to fit my existing Porsche dashcam to the Cayenne, knowing the 'Dashcam Prep' was factory specced, however, despite finding the pre-installed wiring easily enough, it seemed that something was inactive within the system. Could be a fuse not fitted until required, could be it needs...
Try Admiral on the phone rather than via a comparison site or online.
They covered mine on our multicar policy (despite initially being knocked back online)
First two or three journeys in the car this error persisted but it has now cleared itself.
Feels likely a low charge on the 12v battery could have been the cause, as experienced by @CHP in his Macan, but more use has charged it to an acceptable level
Only had one journey in my car so far but I attempted to use ACC which resulted in the error message "ACC not available - drivers seatbelt unfastened".
Seatbelt was obviously fastened and there were no other warnings from the car during normal driving to say it wasn't, meaning the car did know...
Here's a steer on PPF in case anyone is considering it. This is Sytner's BMW/Topaz pricing but you would imagine a Cayenne is equivalent in price to the bottom category with X5M etc
I'm using an independent I've used for all cars for the past 15 years plus. Highly recommend him: PW Pro
Collecting my Turbo SUV tomorrow.
Will only have it for the half-hour drive to drop off at the detailers for PPF and ceramic coatings! Might take the scenic route..
My original timeline was similar to @Matt-Taycan (June build, slipped to July, then August, we're now in September) from the same dealership. Also compromised on the Sport Techno wheels to speed up the process.
Car completed production on 13th August and has so far made it as far as Grimsby...
I've got a Porsche camera which I've previously fitted in a Taycan and 911 - now waiting for its 3rd shot at life when the Cayenne arrives. No issues fitting the device previously but there were detailed instructions from Porsche for both cars and I haven't yet seen any instructions for the new...
