Interesting calculation. But at the 5 minute end it will take longer to connect and disconnect the car than to charge. So you will never have more than 4 actually pulling that power at the same time
The problem will be the MG or Zoe driver whose car will only take 50kW who thinks they will get to charge their car up to 100% faster on the 1000kW supply
We recently had this concern with the Andersen charger. Fortunately it was bought out and they have kept the cloud services running. Otherwise accessing some of its features would have become impossible.
Macan GTS just feels pedestrian and unresponsive compared to my Taycan. However, post the same question on a Macan forum and they will give you completely the opposite answer. Maybe you have already done this - but forums are pretty polarised toward the car they represent.
Given that your current 4S has a newish battery, ticks all of your boxes and is your favourite colour, is there any way you can keep it? Given the depreciation that is now going on, it will be a good buy for someone. Why not you? Maybe it is not possible with the finance deal, but someone will...
Interesting. Not the sort of thing you tend to hear about with electric cars having less to go wrong and all that. However they still have suspension, steering etc. and all of the electronic tech bits are not cheap. And I expect that Porsche bits will be more than Tesla bits. I can't imagine...
It’s probably more use than a Taycan in Africa where it has now ended up. I am not sure where the market is for stolen Taycans although I assume there must be one
Please don’t misunderstand me… I am not saying they are similar. Just that I drove both and for a variety of reasons ended up in a Taycan. But that doesn’t mean I wouldn‘t enjoy owning a 911. Very different cars, but both fantastic
I am not so sure… I decided it was time to move on from my Macan and looked at a 911 4S and a Taycan 4S. The Taycan won as an overall package for various reasons but it was a more useful car to me at the time. A part of me would still like a 911 but I am very pleased with the Taycan and have no...
There are some. How else does FOD work? Keyless entry, lane keeping, Innodrive. These all require certain hardware that is locked but can be activated.
Really? The brand is so popular that I expect that once it has been on sale for 3 months the wait for a new one will be 12 months or longer. We will see!
Let’s hope it’s true. It suggests that private car ownership will be the reserve of the rich - so everyone on this forum who owns a Taycan should qualify. Is there anyone here who would not pay extra to have less traffic on the roads?
Possibly a non -PC view there which might generate some...
A 911 has been my aspiration for a while - but as someone once told my wife (about something else completely) - some things are better left as a dream. I suspect the 911 is one of them - unless I just don't get on with the Taycon and the whole "electric thing".
Wow. I have not heard anyone “getting rid” of a 911 after only a few months. It really didn’t do it for you! I am not going for a turbo s but hopefully a 4S will be fun.
