Porsche Taycan takes on the Moose Test and bows down to Tesla Model 3’s record - Teslarati (but read on)

@dryii No kidding! Also what exactly is he doing with the wheel? He literally drives into the cones on exit and doesn't turn the wheel until after he hits them, not sure he got the memo to turn the direction he wants to go. :CWL:

Porsche Taycan takes on the Moose Test and bows down to Tesla Model 3’s record - Teslarati (but read on)

Their tests are only useful when they expose flaws, otherwise it comes down to how well the driver did, conditions, tires, & familiarity with the car. This is really a pass/fail test and they shouldn't be comparing minor differences in cars that passed. The Taycan passed, /end.

Lucid Air EV Has a Projected 517 Miles of Range, and We Saw 458 Miles on a Real-World Ride-Along

I mean, their premiere press car broke down multiple times so I'm not sure Lucid is where you'll want to go for reliability. I think it's very cool to see these companies bringing competition and a fresh outlook to EVs. I just don't see how they're going to survive. Who buys a Lucid over a...

Lucid Air EV Has a Projected 517 Miles of Range, and We Saw 458 Miles on a Real-World Ride-Along

Hahaha, I like these EV wars. Highlight the Taycan only getting 232 miles (which would require some serious shenanigans to be accurate at a 72 mph highway test) and casually gloss over the numerous complete failures of the Lucid. "Okay so maybe the car randomly shut down twice and required a...

Request: Drag race 4S vs. Turbo

I haven't had a drag race yet but I did time some launches. Taycan 4S 20" Summer Tires in normal road conditions (just a regular city street, decent but not great road)was consistently around 3.64 0-60 mph. The 5-60 rolling start is even more impressive around 3.8 flat, which is faster than a...

Request: Drag race 4S vs. Turbo

Maybe I'll see if one of the Seattle area folks with a Turbo wants to go have a race next week.

Taycan 4s vs specs sheet - real world 0-62?

I've seen 3.6 posted elsewhere, haven't seen anything to indicate it's faster than that. Of course, my Panamera Turbo had a confirmed 0-60 in launch mode of 3 seconds flat. But in every single situation other than a drag race the Taycan 4S is faster and it isn't close. Which is actually crazy...

Taycan - the "reverse" one-pedal driving. Comparison with Tesla model 3 performance after 1 month.

This is similar to my experience owning an iPace. For a while I thought one pedal driving was the best thing ever.. then I turned it off and realized I preferred not using regen. I'm very glad the Taycan operates the way it does with regen/recup. Coupled with the excellent efficiency numbers...

New Porsche Taycan vs Tesla Model S - WhatCar?

I can't wait for there to be more EVs on the market so people stop comparing the Taycan to a Tesla. It's like comparing a Macan to a Volvo XC40; sure.. they're both compact SUVs but that's about all they have in common. I get it, though, people are absurdly obsessed with 0-60 times even though...

Porsche Taycan Turbo vs Tesla Model 3 Performance Overall Comparison

Thanks for the comparison! I personally disagree with several of your Tesla pros, though. For me, one pedal driving is vastly inferior to the way the Taycan operates. This is definitely a "which flavor is better" opinion, though. The Model 3 looks like a child's toy, that's why the interior...

Tesla Model S crushes Taycan’s Nürburgring time

No, they're comparing (I wouldn't say competing) with the Taycan. I don't like Tesla but the hate is kind of silly. The "plaid" powertrain will likely be available relatively soon and likely blow the Taycan Turbo S away in terms of speed. If you're suggesting it had modifications that won't be...
