price is a big part of the equation for me, I need to lower my overhead and I can save around 1k a month going with an EQE, I5 or lucid. the polestars can be had at bargain basement prices and other than range and overall blandness of the car might be worth looking at.
part of the equation is lowering my costs. a lucid, I5 or eqe would be less costly. I think the polestar is out because of range concerns. my son drives a gas genesis and likes that car but I am wary of the hyundais as a whole.
my lease is expiring in a couple of months and I am looking for a replacement.
right now I am considering Polestar, BMW I5, MB eqs, and a lucid.
another taycan is unlikely
can anyone offer any insights about these cars?
without getting into a political rant, all I will say is that the US federal justice system has little credibility. and this remark is based not on the political issues they are embroiled in but the facts surrounding the Epstein case are being buried. WHERE IS THE GUEST LISTS?
this tesla...
any exposure to flooding, especially saltwater, will be very detrimental. as for causing fires, that is yet to be proven, despite reports of 1 or 2 cars supposedly catching due to flooding in the recent storm in FL. I am somewhat local and I saw no reporting of such fires.
don't sleep on the BMW evs.
my 4s lease is coming up in a couple of months and the I7 is looking like a viable choice as the MB
of all the teslas the model X is the one to avoid, it has had issues from day one and it still isn't right.
my choice would be a Y
the biggest problem getting a L3 charge at EA units is that you could encounter is congestion at the EA chargers.
for the most part the stations are operating ok but with all the new EVs on the road the chargers are crowded and are always in use.
in addition you have many people who don't...
nobody has offered you advice on driving the car home.
for optimal range and driving at a "normal" highway speeds you should try to stay at a consistent speed, I find that I achieve a good balance of speed and range driving between 70 and 75 mph.
you also need to factor in climatic issues...
TLDR;
based on the some of the numbers used on this chart for the 2021 taycans I don't give this report much credibility.
On numerous long distant trips in varying conditions I have never seen numbers close to 300+ miles per full charge at similar speeds.
I did not read the article but I've owned two tesla with auto pilot and while the system isn't infallible it is very good. I would say that any accident while driving on autopilot is because of operator failure, not the autopilot system.
it's apples and oranges, comparisons like this are a waste of time. until they drop an ICE engine into a taycan or put batteries into a panamera there is no point of similarity other than both being larger sedans
not true at all, most of the problematic ones that I've encountered are in FL or off of I 95 between florida and NY, at rural locations.
the reason why the most reports are from densely populated areas is because that is where the people are. there are more people around NYC than there are...
