Isn't the Taycan built on the J1 Performance Platform unlike both the Macan EV and Cayenne EV which are built on Porsche Platform Electric (PPE)?
For the Cayenne EV, the battery production is split between LG Energy Solution (manufacture and supply NMCA LiIon pouch cells), Porsche (test &...
In terms of seats, that's the purpose of 18-way over 14-way but there is a sacrifice and that is that lack of adjustable headrests.
I've had both 14-way and 18-way in my Taycans but preferred the 14-way. I have 18-way in my 911 which aren't as good comfort wise as the 14-way. Best idea is to...
The choice of wheels will have a far greater impact on range.
PAR (depending on which drive mode) makes a marginal difference.
The only data we have currently is WLTP / EPA and so if you look at the range details on the confugurator for an unoptioned S and then add PAR the quoted range drops...
The positive is that it is aerodynamic well beyond the legal limit!
My Panamera ST had the automatic aerodynamic spoiler in the tailgate spoiler. The only time I saw it raised was when I manually did it for cleaning purposes.
Personally, I find these aero aids a gimmick and only Porsche feel...
Really, how imature of you?
I'm not being negative just highlighting some basics (facts) and a much broader and deeper knowledge of the brand.
The Porsche website is the online entry point for the Porsche insurance quotation process if you care to check. To get a quote you need a reg number...
When attempting on line you need to put in a reg - that's what I wrote, hence the comment.
Can you share the premium?
Cost of tracker (PVTS+) to be added on top. I had it until Admiral told me I didn't.
Thatcham don't determine the insurance group either. This is determined by a panel from...
Admiral (online) can't currently quote for any Cayenne EV.
Porsche (online) won't quote unless you have a GPS tracker and the car must already be registered which isn't helpful.
I'm sure Admiral / others will get their act together soon but the prospect of being forced to have a tracker (if...
Taycan had the same drama since 2020 and I experienced it twice. Stop sales due to software issues, TPMS shortage, semi- conductor shortages, HV heaters, wars (cable harness came from Ukraine), supplier fires and so on.
Track Your Drama rather than Dream!
It's also a pretty useless service (when / if it works). Nice idea and been around for some years now but as with other Porsche software offerings is poor at best.
Not sure if this was posted earlier but may be of interest - https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2026/innovation/porsche-production-start-cayenne-electric-battery-expertise-41664.html
My dealership took deposits last year in advance of allocations and physical launch. Many others will have done the same.
The production year is not a full 12 months but aound 6 given when the launch was made.
My dealership sold around 40 cars which ultimately ate up their allocations for the...
Oops - I am indeed wrong (upon clicking into the option the description changes).
Pretty sure all recent Porsches have a signal booster when wired charging or wireless charging.
