Thanks.
The larger point that was being made is that these are at least resources that can be used to compare charging speeds and range. The more commonly cited "10-80%" metric lacks any context for what that means as far as actual range gained, and so is largely useless.
I'd never use these...
LOL - okay, you let us know which OTHER semi-comprehensive resource you'd suggest we use to compare charging speeds...
I'm sure we're all ears (and eyes)
The Track Mode update was an OTA change, so applies to all Model S, even the LR (non-Plaid).
The $20K Track Package includes brakes, wheels and tires, and includes installation by Tesla.
I guess we're just gonna have to agree to disagree on this.
Seems more intuitive and closer to what we've always done to continue using the left hand for all signaling than to remember to start sometimes using the right hand... ?♂️
I've been considering a Taycan for a long while - don't have one now, but continue to be interested in larger EV sedans, including the Taycan.
If I were smarter, I'd have taken the money I paid for my first Tesla and bought TSLA instead! ;-)
I just don't see this as an issue. If your hands are at 9 and 3, but the wheel is turned 90 degrees, activating the turn signal stalk will require removing your hand from the wheel. How is that better?
I understand that's what we've all always done, but how is it actually better than keeping...
Tesla has always been about trying new things.
As a consumer, some are ready to something new and see how they might like it, some are not.
The yoke was indeed a joke, but the turn signals and shifter are just new and different. I'd have no trouble adjusting. YMMV.

Braking 60-0 - 104 feet for each.
Lateral acceleration: Taycan Turbo S 0.98G, Plaid 1.05G
Again, I'm not suggesting that the Plaid drives...
Funny thing is that the Plaid actually brakes shorter AND grips harder in cornering than even the Taycan Turbo S. Not suggesting that the Plaid drives better, but its capabilities are nothing to discount…
And before anyone counters with “but but but the brakes overheat ZOMGELEVENTY!!!”...
I've rented Teslas from Hertz on a few occasions - tough to go back to an ICEV even for a rental!
Keep in mind that you have to return the Model Y at >70% SOC to avoid being billed for re-charging. May not be an issue for you, but may require planning ahead...
I haven’t “chosen” anything about your comments.
The idea that there’s only a single ideal vehicle is the underpinning of the very existence of many automobile enthusiast message boards, and is the reason many are so toxic.
Competitive makes and models offer different takes on the idea of a...
And if you live by the mantra:
“Porsche - there is no substitute”
your comments are easy to understand.
The OP, however, sees other viable options in the market.
It’s ironic that you point to Tesla’s driving aids as a demerit, both because they’re so easy to disable if that’s your...
Model S body was re-worked for the latest generation, with much more pronounced fender flares and a far better overall stance on its tire/wheel setup.
The interior is also much improved, and now you can even get a *real* steering wheel instead of the joke/yoke.
It offers...
