Truly nonsense. If I select another mode, I accept a different consumption. But regulations are regulations, alas.
A choice in Setup, where I confirm that I understand the consumption will be different, is also off the table then?
Indeed. As long as there is a deficit of clean energy, efficiency is important. As far as I can see, e-fuels will be very inefficient and should be avoided whenever possible.
This is exactly what I feel driving "normally": the RS would rather go (more) straight ahead when I turn the wheel, the Taycan is ready and eager to turn immediately.
Exactly.
i understand to some extent that one can miss the high sound volume and the feelings it causes. But my main car has been electric since 2015, and I find it both rewarding and interesting to live in the lower sound level of an EV, and interpret the real components in it.
I am far from an expert on this. What I can try to describe is what I think and feel. But I cannot exclude that much of it is imagination: “it is a Porsche, it should drive better”.
There is one aspect that is definitely real, however, although the judgment is subjective: electric sport sound...
Of course everyone may look at carbon in any form and way they want. My preference, however, is to avoid it when it is not used for its main characteristics in weight and strength.
Fortunately, it is easy to avoid carbon in the Taycan interior: little plastic, much real leather, and not...
To me, carbon fiber is a constructive material to be used where light weight is important. If its strength and/or light weight are not needed, then there is no use case for it. To put it bluntly: just esthetics is not sufficient reason to use it. (I am an architect, I am used to thinking "honest...
Thank you!
An important point, at least to me, is something I have left out. I do not see any point in carbon fiber as decor, there is no (visible) carbon on it. (My Audi does not have any carbon either.)
I had the Audi specified in red for a while. But changed because I felt it was too aggressive for me. And since I have Exclusive interior in cognac leather there, I at that time thought I should play safe with the exterior.
And green is generally a calming color, isn't it?
Thanks! I find a two-tone interior more interesting than all-black, particularly for the back seat. But I feared the lack of practicality with light colors more than the contrast with bordeaux. I understand that not everyone will like it, but to me it looks good.
My first imression is that the Taycan is more precise, a bit stiffer (I don't mind that at all) and with more engaging steering feel. But I will come back on it when I have driven the Taycan more.
As I said in another reply, maybe some bits of ergonomics are easier in the Audi. But the interior feel is definitely better in the Taycan in my opinion. Have not had long trips in the Taycan yet, but look forward to them and getting more of the driving feel.
Is the steering mechanism really the...
Thanks! Maybe the ergonomics of some functions in the Audi are better, but the materials are not. Much too much plain piano black. And half-baked design around the instrument cluster in my opinion. I am sure I will be happier with the GTS.
For many small reasons, two important ones being luggage space (the Audi trunk is not small, but impractical) and that I could get a Taycan delivered before Norwegian taxes are getting much higher. And the Porsche drives better, and I have come to prefer the Taycan exterior design, and the...
