This so much. Porsche isn't going to win any numbers on a page comparison. Anyone can make something go fast in a straight line, it's a simple equation. There's way too much fixation on numbers here. Range, 1/4 mile, 0-60, etc., all pointless.
Lots of Mustangs were faster around a track...
I care about range over 200 miles the same way I care about gas mileage in an R8 (or 911). It's great there will be cars with lots of range, but if that's your purchase criteria, Porsche likely isn't your brand.
They aren't hitting top speed in a quarter mile. The Taycan is doing well, considering how much heavier it is than the competition. The other cars have equal or greater HP, and much less weight.
Everything else is always going to be significantly cheaper than a Porsche. If price figures into your decisions, then likely Porsche isn't going to be your brand.
Even other VAG brands are going to sell the Taycan cheaper than Porsche with the Audi e-tron GT. :P
Nice to see the cars on an actual track. All the drag racing nonsense doesn't matter. Going fast in a straight line isn't really what Porsche stands for.
While I like the convenience, I don't think entire articles should be duplicated here without permission. Press releases, sure, but I keep seeing this here, and I'd hate to see something happen to the site because of the continued content rips...
