The problem is not the use of the 12V battery but the (re)charging of it.
That's software related.
There's no alternator so this proces is completely different.
Less capacity too (no powerful starter motor involved) so it'll die pretty easy when it isn't recharged properly.
Obviously it's hard...
Tesla S/X and Nissan Leaf had these same 12V issues...
I can't recall BMW i3 first gen had any of these or other software problems though...
You tell me. ??♂️
EDIT: Tesla has its 12V batteries dying way too fast.
Still, it IS a software issue and lasted until at least last year so apparently...
That sounds like a simular problem like our Taycan.
Not with such dramatic actions but apparently there are some bugs (bogus faults) that shuts the vehicle down too.
My car has good software apparently.
That doesn't mean I ignore problems with other cars but I do hope you understand that there are thousands of cars without any problems, just like mine.
Apparently it's extremely difficult to write software that works on all cars...
So I guess I have to agree...
1. You are doing the exact same thing.
Do you see the irony in your reply?
I'm not interested in Tesla so I couldn't care less about the "facts".
Especially cuz I'm on a Taycan forum.
I'm a Taycan fanboy, using the same fanboyism to make a point.
Those characters are the right people in the...
As long as you have to monitor what the car is doing it's NOT FULLY SELF DRIVING (that even goes for "Autopilot").
C'mon people, THINK!
My god, what morons pay for this feature anyway??
It's a luxurious ACC, nothing more, nothing less.
I still wonder why we, on this Taycan forum, should know all this "truth" about Tesla.
Actually, I couldn't care less.
Some desperately trying to be objective but it's becoming quite annoying to see such "objective fanboyism" about Tesla.
Actually, it's becoming Goebbels propaganda machine all...
Tesla has validated bevs are economically viable?
Tesla hasn't made a single profit in building EVs till now...
It's the CO2-rights they sell that generate the profit.
Is there a way to ignore this topic in the forum board?
I'm getting pretty fed up seeing this one topic again and again.
I tried "ignore" but it still shows up.
Any help will be highly appreciated. ??
I can not imagining someone's driving a Porsche (Panamera/Cayenne) and want to switch to a Model S.
Just wondering why Panamera sales went down 85%, is that really true?
What about the Cayenne sales?
What would be the sales of the Panamera if there wasn't a Model S?
Unfortunately there's no...
Toyota was more into hydrogen and hybrids, Mirai and Prius.
Now they realize the world is going BEV after all.
It wasn't that clear at the time.
I don't think hydrogen is a good solution imho.
Instead of this endless and useless debate why or how Tesla was the start of EVs or not, I'd rather look at these kind of experiments:
I always wanted to know how my car (not a Tesla btw) would coop with a big pool of water.
Not as extreme as this but it's quite interesting to see...
Are you guys STILL trying to convince each other?
If it wasn't for the invention of li-ion we wouldn't have Tesla's, cellphones, laptops etc.
https://www.nobelprize.org/prizes/chemistry/2019/popular-information/
If it wasn't such a climate debate we wouldn't have ANY EVs.
How far do you want to...
Agree but I think the Taycan is how the Panamera always should've been: a sporty 4-door sedan/hatchback.
Panamera looks rather too "fat" to look sporty if you know what I mean...?
