That was good. Especially liked his point about the accelerator pedal, something they got very right with the Taycan and subverting that makes it not only easy to drive but great fun too. It’s the only option if you want to drive an EV that’sa proper drivers car, imo
Maybe we just have more corners and B roads in the UK, certainly where I live. But it really only needs a slightly quick drive on a British b-road to get an Audi to understeer, certainly their S variants. The RS ones have a slightly higher entry point, but slower, sharp corners easily push them...
Not gonna lie: sometimes I miss the AMG V8 in my C63. Then I settle down and enjoy the steering and chassis of the Taycan, then feel the instant torque through/out of a corner and all is well again.
I’d not class myself as a collector and whilst I keep wanting to grab an Omega Seamaster, I know I won’t use it very much. However, I’ve a couple of watches I enjoy occasionally
Firstly my Breitling Navitimer back from Breitling for a service. It’s 1969, the first proper present my Mum gave to...
IMO it looks fantastic, has an engine that you’re not gonna be able to get hold of at some point and has a decent interior too. Massive contrast with the Taycan but it will be an amazing experience. Spec/colour?
I like it, albeit I think it lacks a little the elegance of the current Cayman/Spider. Is this created from any specific sources, or just pure guesswork?
Amazing seeing them side by side in non-press pictures: the Taycan is streets ahead in styling, especially from the front. The Audi does that Audi ‘thing’ of looking good but a little bit formulaic.
A good move and a good colour choice, congrats! ??
I get in and don’t press a load of buttons. Just select drive and go.
No. But comfort access with the key works like this, albeit I switched it off
You’d need to specify the 400v 150kW charging option. Not sure on adaptor situation/Tesla opening up their chargers though!
if you get a CT/ST...
Hobbies are mainly managing my daughters U10 Girls Football team, as well as being Vice Chair. Takes up a lot of time. Occasionally play myself still, when I’ve got time and inclination. Also play PS5 (CoD mainly and others), listen to Music on my decent AV setup, occasionally play badminton...
These look awesome imo. I really think this is a great tribute and actually a cool addition to the 911 lineup. If I could justify having another car and my wife wouldn’t, quite literally kill me?, I’d be in for one ?
I’ve got a couple of setups too, a nice B&W cinema system and some Anthony Gallo A’Diva Ti’s that are tiny (and wife friendly), but sound absolutely epic. But like many after years experimenting with car audio, I’ve come to the conclusion it’s pretty much not worth it. I’ve gone with the...
I’ve not even got my Taycan yet, so I will want some time enjoying the car and seeing how I feel. It’s my first Porsche, after tasting many other brands so it will be interesting.
I do like the look of the potential Polestar 5, which is a way off fruition, so that could be an option for me...
The RS6 is an excellent car with fantastic balance and does not understeer. I’m not sure you would regret the move but it’s not the future for sure. It’s an experience to drive imo
