"UK Inches Closer To Eliminating Private Car Ownership" Article

Let’s hope it’s true. It suggests that private car ownership will be the reserve of the rich - so everyone on this forum who owns a Taycan should qualify. Is there anyone here who would not pay extra to have less traffic on the roads? Possibly a non -PC view there which might generate some...

    Test drive 911 and Taycan

And of course a Taycan isn't at all ostentatious. Is it?!

    Test drive 911 and Taycan

A 911 has been my aspiration for a while - but as someone once told my wife (about something else completely) - some things are better left as a dream. I suspect the 911 is one of them - unless I just don't get on with the Taycon and the whole "electric thing".

    Test drive 911 and Taycan

Wow. I have not heard anyone “getting rid” of a 911 after only a few months. It really didn’t do it for you! I am not going for a turbo s but hopefully a 4S will be fun.

For me, I think this probably sums it up. Not the same for everyone, but that is where my thoughts lie

    Test drive 911 and Taycan

Wow. I had heard 10% being a limit, but can’t really get what I think I want for that. So 15% isn’t bad!

I have already added £13k. I am concerned that you will all add me another 10k on top

    Test drive 911 and Taycan

Thanks. Of course I am aware they are different cars. The question to me was which one would I want to have as a daily drive car. I don't go to tracks, so it is simply performance on the road and which I would want to live with. Since I can only buy one of them a direct back to back test drive...

    Or should I buy a 911?

Thanks for all the comments... I went for a test drive in a 911 and Taycan. My thoughts are here if you are interested: Test drive 911 and Taycan | Porsche Taycan Forum - TaycanForum.com

    Test drive 911 and Taycan

Having been wondering about a 911 I posted on here a couple of weeks ago and got your views on a 911 vs Taycan (obviously in favour of the Taycan) and took both for a test drive. My 19 year old son insisted on coming along. The 911 Carerra 4S was up first and it is fair to say my son had...

    Or should I buy a 911?

Well I can try running that fantastic piece of advice past my wife, but I am not sure she quite shares the enthusiasm for cars that your wife clearly has!

    Or should I buy a 911?

Hi all. Loving reading your forum and the wealth of information. I have been in a Macan for the last 4 years and feel it is time for a change. 1 son has mostly left home and can drive himself, so less need for ferrying around. I have always fancied a 911 and was looking into this possibility...
