  1. Anyone going back to a Tesla?

Where have you gone OP..... ? 1 and only message, then 4 pages of (the usual diversified) debate and no response. I am genuinely keen to learn more about why you are barely getting 130 miles range in winter. What are the driving conditions / speed / temp etc?
  2. Anyone going back to a Tesla?

Surely there is something wrong with your car. I would take it in and have it looked at. To those with more knowledge than me, what could cause this apart from battery fault. Heat pump??
  3. Anyone going back to a Tesla?

That range seems completely wrong....? I have a 2021 RWD PB+ also and get 300+ miles on a good run in the summer and minimum 220+ on cold days in winter. You should be getting similar range to your Model 3.
  4. Coming from Tesla to Taycan, but worried about charging on road trips.

I think there will be a lull in new ev ownership in the UK now. I reckon the average EV demographic is mostly middle aged / middle class and many of the early adopters have already jumped in (like most on here). I do note that it's now becoming a trendy 'thing' for the mums doing the school run...
  5. Oh God . . . We Are All Finished Now

Barely on topic (initial post) ..... ? That Enrochat phone takedown by the authorities seems to be the present that just keeps on giving for European law enforcement. I bet there were a lot of people feeling like they had been kicked in the stomach when they got the message to say the system...
  6. Coming from Tesla to Taycan, but worried about charging on road trips.

I think another thing to remember is that Tesla are generally over optimistic on their range figures, while Porsche are conservative on theirs.
  7. Oh God . . . We Are All Finished Now

Hopefully if you kerb crawl around the red light areas often enough, it won't be flagged as suspicious when you're doing it. Just a normal pattern of behaviour. ?
  8. Coming from Tesla to Taycan, but worried about charging on road trips.

And also the real time info on all chargers - so you know which are free and working.
  9. Coming from Tesla to Taycan, but worried about charging on road trips.

Surely we must have some members in the UK who have moved from Tesla to Taycan and charge in the wild? This may be a gamechanger though when it's introduced https://insideevs.com/news/677450/new-uk-law-99-percent-ev-charger-reliability/
  10. "Driver of luxury Porsche caught speeding at more than 120mph on leafy Cheshire road" Article

Unfortunately for the driver, the Dibble think it's quite high ?
  11. "Driver of luxury Porsche caught speeding at more than 120mph on leafy Cheshire road" Article

That's not the road he was caught speeding on (A556). It's a road off it where the Police had pulled him. The A556 is a dual carriageway with 2 lanes in each direction. Some places (not where he was caught) there no central barrier and 60mph each way. Quite dangerous and often bad accidents.
  12. "Driver of luxury Porsche caught speeding at more than 120mph on leafy Cheshire road" Article

My neck of the woods. Don't expect much sympathy for the driver ....or any love for EVs in the comments section.
  13. New UK Teslas come with "grabbing stick" - Article

They might have just recorded record sales, but I firmly agree with you. Its like being in a decent restaurant where you have booked a nice table, then being told you are being moved to a worse table and that the menu has been changed. You may finish that meal.....but you won't go back and...
  14. interesting contrast…Lucid air inventory "deals"

Off topic - but sort of relevant..... I just read an article in the FT on Chinese car manufacturers and their desires to replicate in Europe what they have achieved at home. In a very short space of time. This could be a huge gamechanger and disrupter to the established car industry, for...
  15. Watch collectors - let's talk watches here!

Good find... The Titanium one sounds much the better buy - for little extra cash, you get improved movement and powers reserve, in a slimmer case. I think it looks great on the blue. If I were in the market for a watch in this class (Datejust 41), I would definitely get one of these. ?
  16. The Lotus Eletre R is pretty quick then

Just watched that vid. Knew nothing about the car beforehand. I think that's a really compelling car for someone looking for an EV SUV. If I were fishing in that pond it would probably be top of my list. My biggest dislike is the huge Tesla like screen. Thank God the Taycan didn't go that...
  17. "There’s a new form of keyless car theft that works in under 2 minutes" - Article

Very strange...... The thieves must be very clever. But also, extremely stupid. Clever to come up with the idea. Stupid to steal an old Toyota Rav 4.
  18. Taycan Prices vs. Competition

How are you going to obtain the next car? Cash / loan / lease etc? How long do you intend to keep it?
  19. BMW XM. What are they thinking?

This is the chief designer. I noticed he has got a Stone Island jumper on. Hope he's not focussing too much on the end of season footy, instead of designing cars. ?
