General question about Forums

I am interested in setting up a forum for a small active but disparate car club and wonder what this forum is based on as it would be a great tool for our club, any suggestions about suitable forum providers would be very welcome - I am a total novice at this!

If you can’t easily answer that question for yourself you would consider if you are the right person to do such a thing. Actually setting up and running the forum will take much more skill than simply finding the answer to your question which is plainly staring you in the face. I’m not trying to be mean, just advising about the potential skill gap.

It's a fair question - but no one else is doing it. So I better learn some skills.

The best way to learn is by doing. You could also try to recruit someone to help that has some of the skills already. Look at the bottom of this page to get your answer about what software is being used.
