As an FYI, the brakes on my Taycan are outstanding and there is no way for me to discern when the regenerative braking stops and the friction brakes kick in. I've now got nearly 26,000 miles on the odometer and there has never been a single thing I've noticed regarding the brakes that would be...

I’m with gnop1950 regarding the software. I have no software complaints since the Taycan software does everything I think it needs to do. I appreciate the iPhone app which lets me Check the SOC and estimated remaining range and which lets me remotely turn on the air conditioning when I am out...

Slappy_G is correct — the issue isn’t Range Anxiety, the issue is Charger Availability/Charger Reliability anxiety.

It’s stories like this that make me say I will only take my ICE Cayenne on a long road trip. There is way too much downside risk in driving a Taycan and playing Russian Roulette every time you need to recharge.

If renting a Model 3 from Hertz, what level of charge do they typically give you are the start of the rental? And does Hertz require that you return the vehicle with a higher state of charge than at the start of the rental?

Hello White. Yes, I will most likely fly. When I've taken my Cayenne on a long road trip I try to keep the cruise control speed set at 88mph (yes, I'm a big fan of the Back To The Future movies). The last road trip I took was to Vail Colorado a trip of 720 miles. Including my stops for fuel...

I’m not the kind of person who would attempt to drive nearly 1,000 miles in a single day so my trip from Scottsdale to Boulder, CO would involve an overnight stop. So day 1 would be about 8 hours of driving in my ICE SUV. With "only" 5 1/2 hours of driving left on day 2, I'd likely arrive...

Thank you WasserGKuehit for your well articulated 3 reasons why. Responding to them out of order: #2. You are correct that my Taycan would be EVEN MORE comfortable on a long road trip than my quite comfortable Cayenne. The seat in your Macan is virtually identical to the seat in my Cayenne...

As an owner of an amazing 2020 Taycan Turbo and a 2012 Cayenne S (ICE) SUV, I have a completely different point of view. If you attach any value (monetary or experiential) to your time, why in the world would you take an EV (Model Y or Taycan) on such a long trip when you could take that trip...
