It’s on my radar too. Had most of the GTI’s, R32’s over the years, wife has also loved pushing the to them to the limit.
For the second car/wife’s, currently have a Cupra Born V3 on order but will definitely be looking into GTI after that, been waiting for a ‘hot hatch’ EV to appear. Before...
I’ll start….
1 - EV with realistic V8 sound and vibration to suit
2 - I like the drive and power of EV’s but I REALLY miss that performance engine sound, miss it that much that I miss it everyday I drive that clinical EV
Right, I’m thinking that there are just far too many serious, down beat and saddening threads of late, so let’s have a bit of automotive fun and interest going……..
Question #1 - if you could change one/(1) thing on your current car, EV, mode of transport, what would it be. I.e. an opTimon...
I thought it was very interesting/entertaining, couldn’t help but think that they poached a couple of ex Tesla guys, wonder if they brought any tech knol with them?
Just to ‘put the cat amongst the pigeons’, my personal view/experience from having a model X for 3 years…… it’s good to see Tesla prices dropping! I am off the opinion that they were/are over priced for what they are in terms of build quality, materials used and other tech that is missing that...
Am surprised that people are surprised!!
it’s all about sales and Tesla are no exception- they have and will continue as I’m sure many manufacturers will, to ’massage’ any stats that may increase their sales……
Have posted a number of times on this forum stating that one of the reasons I want...
I don’t think I would remain/go back to Tesla if it was free……well…I would if it was free but only to sell it or trade it in…..
Am itching to get rid of my current model X and without trying to offend anyone with a model 3, Y or S…..I’ve had all as curtesy cars and didn’t enjoy the experience...
or massssssosive charging facility ie Trafford centre in Manchester.
But to reiterate from a post in this thread and in another on the forum - be mindful that Taycan position of the charging port and the cables set up with Tesla supercharges in the UK, that the Taycan will take x2 charger bays...
ANY electrical item that has a frequency can be used, that’s not just transmitting but also power as that also uses frequency. Hence why Faraday principle is used for ‘secure’ facilities with no metal (pipes, conduit, steel stricter etc.) transiting from inside the Faraday to external, cables...
The Tesla advantage is fast changing, a LOT more users at the chargers and with the poor Tesla charging curve the ‘stacking up’ of Tesla’s waiting to charge is growing.
Am guessing that another year or so in the UK and there won’t be much difference with Tesla charging availability and what the...
Nothing new, this has been available for years, it’s just a question of the old privacy debate. Mobile phones have/are the best tracking device to date.
Bottom line is who and when to inform when tracking……not guilty until caught!
Think that’s quite insulting to those who were ‘duped’ with Tesla marketing. After nearly 3yrs with Tesla I will not be sad to say goodbye, it was an experience which I can say I had but quite happy to move on. Am REALLY glad I was not one of those caught up on the wrong side of the retail price...
