I had an AMG C63 as a daily for 3 years. The pros are obvious and as the OP pointed out. Was a lot of fun. Problem is that it never turned off. It was poor for a gentle morning commute or a lazy 3 hour motorway drive. It just made you feel insane 90% of the time. Hard suspension, twitchy...
Quick summary from experience Bentley GT
- feels a lot heavier
- not as quick accelerating (obviously)
- feels more luxurious
- will cost more to maintain
Obviously there is potentially a huge price difference - depending on the age and spec you're looking at.
Taycan is more sports biased...
Nice!
Panigale is sexy, but also fairly pointless for road use - in the GT4 RS vein for sure. I have an 848 - older version of the same.
I've had a Diavel for 11 years now. It's insane power, but actually quiet usable. More like a 911 4S I would say.
I am 100% in the camp of the OP and 100% agree that "want" cars are almost all a terrible match for real life.

Styling looks very uninspired here. Totally agree on the launch execution comment also.
I really want this to be good, but have my doubts
Well there is a whole auto hall at CES for automotive - has been for years. The media have focused more on smart homes/robots/TVs in the past, but there is a lot of activity in the automotive/EV/self-driving sector right now, so that's why it looks the way it does.
I'm currently at the CES expo in Vegas and had a look at this person.
Hope these pictures help.
Honestly in person it looks a lot less stylish that the Taycan. Functional. Very much what you would expect from an electronic device manufacturer.
Much more of a Telsa clone IMO
Ah what a lovely dilemma!
I owned an Elise for several years and have a real soft spot for that. It made me a better driver because I had to rely on technique on the track - why do F1 champions all come from Karting?
Here in the US resale values on Lotus cars is really good, so I would not...
This debate comes up annually with Ducati.
Not going to happen IMO.
One reason it that Porsche EV can offset other less sustainable brands (Lambo) in the portfolio.
