The wheels and more so tires that you have make a big difference. Some people get over 300 miles with their Taycan. I’m not sure on the model but I thought they were somewhat similar.
I have super sticky tires and 21” wheels so I usually am getting around 260. I also live in a warm climate...
I didn't say anything about en-route charging time to make any particular trip. All I said was adding a full charge to my Taycan only adds 225 miles of range and would take 45 minutes to an hour.
Like I said, I'm only getting 225 miles out of a full charge. In the example you posted above...
Um no, you're not charging 200 miles of range in 15 minutes. My Taycan only gets 225 miles of range on a full charge as it is and that will take at least 45 minutes to an hour.
More like "Pour" "Sha".
"Poor" isn't pronounced the same by everyone around the United States. In the midwest most pronounce it phonetically like "Poo-r", not "Pour".
Even at my dealer most of the employees there say "Pour" "sh" without pronouncing the e at the end. It's really hard for...
I totally agree. Charging the battery is not good for it, and neither is being at a high state of charge. If you can go 2-3 weeks without charging and not keep the battery at 80%+ state of charge, that’s a win in my book. The extra range for the occasional road trip is icing on the cake...
I already saw this. He’s just saying that’s why the battery is at 20%. The battery wasn’t hot when he did the run.
20 minutes straight of hard track driving is a lot more than a handful of quarter miles.
Have you seen any test results from people doing 10+ consecutive quarter mile runs? If so link one. I looked but only saw one done at 20% battery but it wasn’t done after consecutive runs. If you can find one I’d love to see it. I have seen no proof this problem is fixed, just hearsay.
Meh, they weren't even able to achieve 2.2 with the drag stripe mode on. Tesla themselves don't actually advertise 1.99 0-60 times. They use a footnote to explain it away. They don't include the first foot ie it's not from 0, but they still somehow refer to it as 0-60. It's marketing BS...
I found it kinda sad that in order to make the car do what it can do over the Model S Performance that you paid an extra $40k for it took 7 MINUTES to prepare itself. If you couple that with the fact it can only do those pulls a few times and then the battery overheats and the car starts...
You're going to link vehicle safety data published on Tesla's own website which isn't even independently verified? From a vehicle manufacturer whose website is chock full of unsubstantiated or misleading claims for things as simple as range, price and 0-60 times?
There is currently a federal...
This is exactly why you should never own a Tesla. This is exactly how Teslas kill people. Read some posts by former engineers about how they push OTA updates to cars without properly testing them or read about the crashes caused by their software malfunctioning. It's no joke and it should...
