What the hell is it about Teslas that makes it so easy to curb the rear wheels? In the 4 years I owned my Model 3's, I managed to curb both rear wheels and one front wheel...on BOTH of them. In my 30 years of driving, that is literally 6 times the amount of wheels I have curbed otherwise. I...
BMW's disaster design department is just a mess these days. I understand what they were trying to do here...avoid Merc's "one bow" egg shape and still keep the 3 box design but optimize aero. As a result, the hood and trunk are very high where they meet the greenhouse and look very awkward to...
Watch this 0-100-0 Comparison by 5th Gear featuring a Taycan TurboS vs. a Panny Sport Tourismo TurboS EHybrid. While I'm sure people are thinking the Taycan has the edge here, the results are....shocking.
Can always tell people who have never owned or lived with a Tesla for a significant period of time...
OP...I owned a Model 3 for 4 years (LR for 2, Performance for 2) which I sold in December last year. I understand your dilemma as I'm considering giving up my 997 Turbo S for a Taycan. I get...
According to Road and Track, the Urus will go PHEV in 2024 (coincidentally at the same time that the new Cayenne will offer 4 hybrid variants, in case you weren't up on that news. They include a 4 cylinder for China only, the 3.0T V6, the V8 Turbo and....something else).
I would expect this...
That's WLTP, and an estimate. For EPA, closer to 300.

Looks like it's a combo of battery size, aero and new rear motor:
I would be interested in driving the new car. I've driven the old one (non-S) and found it...
I've driven a Targa back to back with my Cabrio, so my observations aren't just from paper. Compared to the cabrio, I felt everything that I wrote above. I could feel the weight, feel the dulled responses form the AWD, and felt like the open air experience was lacking.
But if you aren't into...
This car is 100X better than a Targa. Or even 1000x
IMO, the Targa is simply not for me. Why? It's super compromised. The car is based on the cabrio platform, so you get all the reductions in rigidity that you get from the cabrio platform. Except that with the targa, now you are forced...
I can empathize with your Taycan history. But going from an established manufacturer to an EV startup with documented teething problems.....because your first two Taycans encountered teething problems? This is....interesting logic..
The Lucid looks cool. Hope you have better luck with it!
Tesla's had Blue for a while. But it's the same damn blue, and none of the colors are model specific. So any new paint is news, lol.
Can't wait to ditch mine.. So tired of all the BS.
Ugh, sorry to hear. I've had two, both blue, and the paint was ok on both. A few dust nibs, otherwise unremarkable. Although the orange peel was inconsistent. Evidence that some of it had been sanded smooth.
Tesla....still making scattershot results look planned in 2021. SMDH.
Also...
It's news if you're a Tesla fan because they've been sticking with the same paint options for years. So if you want a Tesla, and plenty of people do, this is actually big news. But not one Tesla fan would call this a revelation, nor do I think the author of the article was trying to call it a...
This.
Lucid has flat out stated that their motor size is directly related to the 900v architecture they are using. Remember, higher voltage means lower current which means less wire heating which means smaller wires...the virtuous cycle. I would posit that Porsche is on Gen 1 of their...
Interesting to hear your thoughts, thank you. The GT Performance Pack is high on my radar. Reviews dropped yesterday and are very positive, although much of it is due to the Perf. pack seats and magnetic dampers, so that would be a must for me.
Please do chime in now and then with your...
