This! I was in the same position a couple of years ago; coming out of an i8 lease and was intrigued by the deals I had seen on the Vantage. I like the car from the side and rear view but the front end reminded me of a Miata. I was also a bit apprehensive about the lack of CarPlay availability...
I remember sitting in the earlier model and being unimpressed with the level of fit and finish and, particularly, the height and width of the center console which extended all the way to the back due to the batteries. It was borderline claustrophobic on the inside.
The lease on my Roadster was up and it was the first time I actually wished I had a LONGER term as the car sill turned heads. I actually considered purchasing it at lease end but went to look at the Taycan and the rest is... as they say..... history.

I’m coming from an i8 to a 4s and, in truth, I’ll miss that car. It was plenty fast, very good looking and virtually bullet proof. If they had continued making them I likely would still be driving one as the only real negative was the level of finish in the interior; it was bereft of a luxury...
I love my i8 Roadster. To me it checks nearly all the boxes; it’s quick enough, relatively nimble and the exhaust note, though simulated, is fairly decent in Sports mode.
It does find itself lacking a few things however, a heated steering wheel would be appreciated as would some lane changing...
