Sorry back when I purchased sport chrono was a package with a bunch of useless bits for 5k or so. Truly terrible.

Paying 6k for sport chrono that gives you a button and a thicker steering wheel vs the same amount for a battery upgrade that gives you real world performance… maybe euro sport chrono pack is different than us. But seems goofy to me.

I like the direction. I still think Mercedes is king of the Grand Touring car. My AMG e coupe was the absolute king and the Taycan is a close second.

Mercedes ICE design lineup is amazing, I loved my e450 Coupe, but wow they screwed up the electric line. The interior is off-the-charts but sheesh could they have just made a great C-class with an electric motor and some smoothed out lines instead of this 4 box humpback abomination?!

At 55mph this is possible with a few vehicles already. I actually really want this to be true, but there have been so many 'gotchas' lately. Heck at 55mph the 4S on 19in can get 360mi range.

Single statements on range are so difficult. My 4S evidently gets 200mi at 90mph on I5, and 300 at 70. Thats a 50% increase in range based on 20mph difference. 500+ so far has been completely undemonstrated in any vehicle at a reasonable test of speed. Not saying its not possible, but 500...

I've had a 435i and about 4 other BMWs and the latest I6 is pretty punchy so I can believe it there. But the driving position on BMWs have always been pretty meh to me compared to the low slung Taycan. Second after 5 BMWs and feeling their steering just get worse every generation I gave up...

Have you read the instructions for that? You have to rip open a door panel to get to it. You can’t even do it from the outside.

Does the Taycan have mechanical door releases? I know for myself the electric doors are the number 1 reason I will never get a Tesla. The idea of my daughter in a car seat in-back unable to get out is the stuff of nightmares.
