Honestly as big as the feats are in the Plaid - the new LR S is the value. It's incredibly quick and rather cheap. The price is much closer to it's interior comforts while having great range. When I had a Performance Model X I couldn't help but feel as good as it was - it just wasn't 'good' in...
Honestly though I'm looking forward to some 'car people' testing plaid, but not like, the people just excited by the 0-60 and 1/4 mile. I want the whole package evaluated and not the '9.2 seconds 1/4 for 120k!' people. Nothing wrong with cross shopping, the pikes peak run had the plaid s 10s...
Competition is certainly heating up! I realize different leagues price and reputation wise but one can’t argue Kia/Hyundai/Genesis are coming in strong with some of the talent they’ve hired.
Yep, I want a Rivian but a lot of the cool stuff won't be on their early ones so I'll probably hold off and see who has 3-4 motors in a few years and enjoy the CT. That said ,Etron(not gt) has an s model in europe that has tri motor. They haven't really done a ton with it from what I understand...
I know it isn't the point of this post but the Rivian truck/suv may put up a fight in a test like this. quad motors is no joke, especially if they keep improving the software for road uses. being able to regen brake one side while the other side is propelling through the turn could be huge.
Another bit of food for thought, a 2016-18 P100D S can hit 0-60 in 2.3/2.4 seconds and can be had for like 50k now, if you were driving a McLaren 720s(300k car) would you really be worried about a S P100D being able to wax you in a straight line? May sting a little but at the end of the day...
Yeah but there’s always a diminishing return on performance above that 60s/70s performance car, this is no different. I think the charging stuff isn’t a huge deal as i had my fair share of charging issues in my teslas. Heck, a 21 Supra beats a model 3 stock and 4 seconds off a taycan turbo s at...
So I've seen that you may be able to get discounts on 20s but curious what all has changed(if there's a thread I didn't see it, my apologies!) and at what point does it become worth it?
