No Surprise. The Taycan experience has been a black eye in the face of the Porsche Brand and quality image. They really starting selling a beta car in 2020 and its coming back to hurt sales. IMHO of course.
Is a matter of taste. You don't like Tesla or Kia, don't buy the.m... but other people seem to do, and that is ok.
My experience is this, I had two Teslas in the past. Loved part of the experience but I would not get a Tesla even if free. I love my Taycan.
But... I SORELY miss the...
As a twice Tesla owner (p85 and p100d), I moved to Porsche because of Tesla’s service and the arrogance and disrespect of the service manager. Would never buy a Tesla again even though I liked it and I LOVE their software. I am happy with the Taycan (better quality) and truly a sports car.
"The cars are already fast enough." No. You can never be fast enough. You probably meant they are fast enough for you, which is fine. But for me, they are not.
Fully agree with you. Same experience. My 2021TTS is at the dealer for sevice (over a week so far) and I am driving a brand new Macan. WOW is my reaction to the PCM. On my Taycan, every trip I take I need extra 10 minutes to fiddle with the PCM to get it to work just right. Every day is a...
Guilty as charged. I lived in Germany many years with technically no speed limits (there are some), and after 20 minutes at 170 mph on the autobahn, it gets as boring as 65 mph on out interstates. But acceleration, specifically 0-60 or thereabouts, is always exciting. So I love 0-60 and often...
I had two Teslas over 6 years and got tired of the lies and crap so I moved to TAYCAN which is a monumentally better car in spite of the crappy software. But I will always thank him for breaking the EV ceiling.
We can laugh and criticize him all we want, but fact is he changed the world for the better. They all laughed when he launched a fast EV. *ALL* the car companies ridiculed him, heck some are still doing it, but *NONE* of them did what he did. And now they are all playing catch up, some of...
I just did this. I switched from a model S P100D (second Tesla I owned) to a Taycan Turbo S. The driver for the change was too many arguments with an arrogant service person whose last conversation tried to tell me issues I was having with my car (losing 15 miles of range a day while parked...
I have both a GTR and a Taycan Turbo S. They are very different cars but both are outstandingly fun cars to drive. In a long race (vs a sprint), my money is on the GTR (top speed 205), on a sprint, my money is on the Taycan but not by much, they are very close. Personal experience, not...
