LOL, can't believe my luck. Had registered at 2 stores and got the 2nd call yesterday, 9 month after registering.
Picking up another one of the babies next weekend at retail price of 14K USD.
Will be looking to sell on Chrono24 en make a grand or 5. ? ?
Ugly AF and drives like an oil tanker without doubt.
Wouldn't want to touch it with a 10 foot pole let alone pay 100K+ to have to drive it even be seen in it.
Picked this up today. Had time and didn't want to pay over retail. So put myself on the waitinglist expecting a 4 year wait. Got the call this week, not even 4 weeks... Got lucky I guess. ??
I quite like the PS2. If I had not had the financial means to buy the Taycan 4S a fully specced PS2 in the colour Moon with upgraded interior and Ohlins stuff would probably be in my garage. I am also very curious for the Android car management (as an avid Android phone user).
BMW i4 M50...
Frankly I couln’t care less. My Porsche has more tradition, class, heritage and pedigree in one wheelnut than the Tesla Plaid in the entire car. 11 seconds on the Nordschleife doesn’t change even 1% of this.
Would we compare a 911 to a MB S Class with ICE? No. Incompatable.
Same here. It's not because they are both EV's that they are in any shape or form comparable. It's a sports car inspired Porsche versus a big ass luxury limo.
Not one is better then the other. They are incomparable.
It’s very strange, I also thought I would really mis this but the speed at which I have become used to the EV zoom noise is incredible. Contrary to my first instincts I’m not missing traditional ICE engine sound at all.
Not to be negative. But most of the electricity we are all using to power our Taycans is also produced by fossil or nuclear fuel. Even those with ”green” electricity, as the total production of green electricity is limited that just means other consumption is pushed to ”non green” electricity...
Any idea what that Audi mule in the left of the picture is? Is the picture from a long time a go? Etron sportback? Or is this recent? Some kind of smaller ev suv based on Q4?
Yes, I have had both. I8 is a small 2 seat PHEV with virtualy no boot. Don’t get me wrong, fabulous car, I loved it, but it’s not really comparable to the Taycan.
They also omit tradition, style, pedigree and heritage.
Porsche takes it on this one, by a quantum leap. Combined with driver experience that seals it for me.
No matter how many fancy tricks the Tesla has up it’s sleaves like showing a fire place on the screen or playing Mario Bros or...
I'm sorry but this new interior is still ugly as f*ck. Really can't imagine myself driving this.
Next to this there is the Porsche brand, heritage, tradition, history and myth. Let alone build quality, driving experience and value. I'd rather be driving a bone stock Porsche Taycan base model...
