One trick I have learned about service loaner Macans is that the customers prior to me don't add the recommended fuel for the models that take high octane. If I have the loaner long enough to drain the tank, I notice it performs better when I add high octane for those models that call for it...
Here's the YouTube link with metadata stripped.
Great cinematography, but the overtly branded jacket is cringeworthy. Reminds me of this episode from Friends.
Which car service do you drive for? The only time I’m in a black car is when I’m being driven somewhere, and it would be nice to have that ride in a Taycan!
I haven't driven far enough to assess range yet, but for what it's worth, the guesstimated range is roughly 20% improved.
The service tech provided the below screenshots from the PIWIS State of Health diagnosis function.
The "before overnight drive" report on Sep 18 2023 shows "quick...
Short answer: It turns out the "deep test" is simply attaching the PIWIS to the Taycan and taking measurements periodically from high to low SoC (around 95% to below 10%). Due to the driving time, this worked out about $700 in labor, and the results were within 1% of what I measured with Car...
You fail to appreciate Porsche's engineering achievements in blended braking and in high energy recuperation that made the Taycan's highly efficient non-one pedal driving possible. Until recently, Tesla relied upon friction braking whenever the brake pedal was applied, and only performed...
I believe the PIWIS quick test is performing the same polling as your OBDII reader. The "deep test" with PIWIS attached provides the SoH measurement that matters for warranty purposes. My Taycan is in deep test at the dealership this week. The dealership quoted me about $540 to perform the test...
Here's the cell voltage graph. Car Scanner says the highest cell voltage is 3.99V (with a cell voltage max index of 10), and the lowest (standing out in the graph below) is 3.938V (with a cell voltage min index of 7). I'll check battery energy at 100% SoC soon. Could you tell me where to find...
For AC charging I normally start above 20%, and occasionally charge to 100% to see if it helps with load balancing. I did this the day before I obtained the 75.57% SoH measurement. Do you think discharge to 5-10%, and the rest of the protocol you outlined above, will make much difference to load...
Between 200-210 miles with the factory 20" wheels on all seasons, and around 186 miles with the larger and wider summer wheel/tire set. I have the PB+ battery.
Delivery Soh - unknown, but I suspect not much better than current SoH since range has remained about the same
Current SoH - 75.57%, with one cell at a lower voltage than the rest
Current mileage - 38,870 miles
kWh DC charging - probably over 10,000 kWh (majority DC fast charging)
Build...

Coincidentally, @rs38 just contributed hilarious lyrics on this other thread:
