Yes, I agree to that.
But when there are miles and miles of boring motorway driving on straight roads, I see hands off the steering wheel as a useful function. Otherwise no, on a car like this.
That's because the speed recognition system for the UK is amiss, a common problem Macan EV owners have encountered, when the car will suddenly break or slow down from 70 to 30 mph on a 70 mph motorway :confused:
The official EPA-rated range would be more accurate, but it's not out yet.
Real-World/EV Database Estimate: around 320 miles (520 km) of mixed real-world driving.
Thanks.
I was thinking of going with truffle brown on the GTS when I next change the model.
And likewise, I had the same idea of going leather on centre console side panels and a racetex roof :)
@Saladin
Your Club leather interior in truffle brown looks nice in pictures. Not many go for this option.
How does it look in real, and what is your experience of it?
@mirto
I agree with your observation of not really needing space. I went to the showroom today and noticed Cayenne was far too big compared to the Macan EV, which was there as well.

That's why I much rather prefer a 20-minute charge time for a proper relaxed coffee and toilet break. A couple of stops like that on a long journey are a necessity.
Talking about Range Rovers' lack of protection against CanBus theft, someone I know had his top-of-the-line fully specked Defender OCTA, got stolen only last month, parked on the street in Mafair, London. Never recovered!
A Tesla-style iPad is a dealbreaker for me, where every function is on the screen.
Always keeping eyes on the road is essential in driving.
When you get penalised for holding or touching a phone, tablet, or any such device for any reason while behind the wheel, I wonder why just an iPad on...
As a matter of interest, which places in particular do you like in the south of France, and what are the best times? Just the two of us, semi-retired now, so no constraint about school terms.
We are planning to go there next year.
Any feedback from an experienced traveller would be good :)
Yes, it's very strange that the price tag is £9,444. It is way too high, especially when you compare it to the Club leather, where the steering wheel leather also comes in the Club leather.
